Crafting Unique Metal Side Protection for Oak Handrailed Stairs in London
In June 2022, we were approached by a customer from North West London (Hampstead area) asking if we could make and install 4mm patterned metal side protection on oak handrailed stairs. The next day, there was a meeting with the client.

During the discussion of the details, we suggested installing aluminum side protection, since the stairs themselves were wooden. The client hesitated because work with aluminum increases the price of the work. But still, having weighed all the advantages, we started work.

For detailed measurements, we created, at first, checkered, and later plywood templates, since we could not make a mistake in the dimensions, even by half a millimeter. Measurements were carried out 5 times. Next, we agreed with the customer on the type of patterns, the type, type, and color of the aluminum side protection of the stairs, and the type of fastening to the wooden base of the stairs. We started the production of aluminum panels.

Everything was ready in autumn. The order was delivered to the client and we started the installation. Since the measurements were made perfectly, we installed all the side protection panels of the stairs within 4 hours. Everything was mounted perfectly.

After a few days, our order of an oak handrail was delivered to the client, and we started the installation. The handrail was sanded and varnished and perfectly matched the type and color of the base of the wooden stairs.
